What we read, what we don’t

  • What we read: aggregate stats — list size, campaign open / click / bounce rates, automation titles, send cadence over the last 90 days.
  • What we don’t: individual subscriber email addresses, donor records, or any PII. Nothing identifiable leaves your Mailchimp account.
  • Use a read-only key. Mailchimp lets you generate scoped API keys — read-only is enough for the audit.

The fastest way: in Mailchimp go to Account › Settings › Users and invite audits@postroom-hq.com as a Manager. Then email rahat@postroom-hq.com to let us know. We’ll log in, generate a read-only key, run the audit, and remove ourselves from your account the same day.

Or do it yourself: in Mailchimp go to Account › Extras › API keys, create a key, and paste it in the field below. The key reads aggregate stats only. No subscriber data is stored.
