SALAAM
Turn email into a reliable revenue channel
Strategic email management for Muslim-led charities and faith-rooted brands. Built on over a decade of UK Muslim charity sector delivery. Start with a free audit — connect Mailchimp via a read-only key, or paste a recent send if you would rather not share a key.
2 million emails delivered for charity clients in the last 10 months. Same team behind £56M of paid-channel value across the Hendrix / AdShare archive.

Why The Postroom
Most organisations send emails. We build revenue systems.
Most organisations send emails. Very few build systems that perform.
Structured Campaign Planning
Campaigns planned around key moments — not reactive sends. Aligned to clear revenue or donation goals, not just activity.
Segmentation That Converts
Target the right people with the right message. Driven by behaviour, intent, and past engagement.
Email Journeys (Not One-Offs)
Welcome flows, donor journeys, and retention sequences. Built to move people from first touch to long-term supporter.
Ongoing Optimisation
Continuous tracking, testing, and refinement. So performance improves month-on-month — not reset each campaign.

Why most email marketing fails with Muslim audiences
Most organisations send glossy, design-heavy emails that look impressive — but don’t convert. They get lost in Promotions tabs, skimmed over, or ignored.
- Emails look polished, but don't feel personal
- Messaging is broad — no meaningful segmentation
- Campaigns are sent reactively, not strategically
- In community-driven organisations, trust and timing matter — emails need to feel sincere, simple, and human — not like marketing.
How it works
Quick, hassle-free setup. Connect your existing email platform and we'll handle the rest.
We connect to your email platform, set up culturally intelligent sequences, and let automation do the work — delivering authentic inbox conversations that build trust and drive conversions.
Our Process
Three steps from audit to inbox
Run a free audit
Connect Mailchimp via a read-only API key, or paste a recent send if you would rather not share a key. Audit completes in two to five minutes. You get a score out of 100, the three biggest gaps in revenue order, and a reading written for charity CEOs, not engineers.
Walk the findings together
Thirty-minute call. We talk through what the audit surfaced, where the highest-revenue fix is, and what good would look like for your programme. No pressure to sign anything. Some charities are happy to take the audit away and act on it themselves. That is fine. The audit was free for a reason.
Pick the right tier
Foundation, Growth, Revenue Partner, or Audience Access. The audit tells us which one fits. We onboard inside a week, agree the campaign calendar against your seasonal cycle (Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah, Muharram), and get the first month of sends in the inbox.
Track record
What we have delivered through the Garden Network
Postroom is six weeks old. The Garden Network infrastructure underneath it has been delivering for the UK Muslim charity sector for over a decade. Postroom is the productised version of that operational track record.
emails delivered across 9 charity brands in the last 10 months
average open rate across 200 sends — above the charity sector benchmark of ~18%
of tracked paid-channel value for UK Muslim charity clients across our agency arm

What the audits keep finding
The Microsoft deliverability disaster, and the four-gap pattern underneath it
On one UK Muslim charity’s recent send, we measured 16,699 emails delivered. Hotmail opened at 4 to 5 percent. Yahoo opened at 31.5 percent. Gmail opened at 12 to 15 percent. Same subject line, same send time, same body. The difference was sender reputation on Microsoft’s filters.
Around 60 percent of UK Muslim charity lists are on Hotmail, Outlook, or Live. When sender reputation slips on Microsoft, half your list goes dark while Gmail and Yahoo still deliver. The rolled-up open rate looks “disappointing but fine” rather than catastrophic, so nobody catches it.
Three Garden Network brand audits in. Every one scored in the critical band. Every one showed the same four-gap pattern: deliverability collapse, automations missing, click-to-open collapse, seasonal-only programming. The pattern is reproducible. The fixes are too.
Numbers from the Postroom audit benchmarks v1, calibrated against over 12 years of UK Muslim charity sends across the Garden Network and Hendrix archives.
Same email landed at 31.5% on Yahoo and 12-15% on Gmail. Around 10,000 Microsoft addresses effectively invisible until reputation was rebuilt.
Five recent sends on a 3,813-subscriber warm list, all above sector top quartile. The other half of the story.
Same four-gap pattern every time. Deliverability collapse, automations missing, CTOR collapse, seasonal-only programming.
